Testimonies About N.K./L.I.T.

"The passion of my life is to see teenagers exalt the majesty of Christ and then invite Him to live through them—to bring His kingdom on earth. I have discovered that is far more likely when new teenagers already have experienced L.I.T. during 5th–6th grades. Those 12-year-olds already have a passion for Christ, a heart for the lost, consistency in the spiritual disciplines, and skills in ministry. If older grade-schoolers in every church were having experiences such as these, student ministries in America would be very different. I strongly encourage church leaders and parents to give this ministry approach careful attention."

Richard Ross, PhD, Professor of Student Ministry, Southwestern Seminary, Fort Worth, TX

We have experienced phenomenal growth in our kids!  Last Sunday night, our 5th and 6th graders spent time with 3rd and 4th graders talking about making a decision for Christ.  I was absolutely blown away.  These kids “got” it.  As the leaders walked around the room, we clearly grasped the vision of this program, and witnessed the LIT program’s impact first hand.  This will dramatically change the way we approach ministry in our church.  We have realized that If you “challenge” your kids, rather than “entertain” your kids, the results are AMAZING.  I am thrilled to see the paradigm shift that has occurred in one semester’s time, and I know that the Lord will continue to reach souls through the lives of our children.  What an amazing blessing and testimony!

"Our church has incorporated L.I.T. and Nehemiah Kids curriculum into our weekly programming for the past four years, and we have been so excited about the results we see in our student ministry and our older elementary kids. The philosophy of parenting partnership and every believer being a missionary (including our kids) goes against the grain of compartmentalizing our faith and supports the foundational truth that we don't 'go to church' but we 'are the church.' I truly believe this will make a difference in the next generation as we develop and support the kids' (and parents') faith in a God that is alive and active in their lives."

John T. Scott, The Summit Church, North Little Rock, AR

"Being both an L.I.T. leader and a parent of L.I.T. kids, I can see the difference this program is making in our home. The bar has been raised, the challenge has been set, and the tools are there to meet those goals to help us raise kids who will not only know the truth, but who aren't intimidated to share the truth...with the help of L.I.T. accountability. L.I.T. is a great resource for parents to tap into to help disciple their kids and prepare them to be leaders...today and tomorrow."

Ann Bowen, FBC, Ozark, MO

"We’ve seen more kids involved in the Word daily than ever before! Our kids are truly experiencing what it means to be a part of the body of Christ as they serve Him in their ministry teams! For the first time since I’ve been involved in children’s ministry, I’m seeing kids excited to share what God is doing in their lives through their devotionals and their ministry teams."

Chris Norman, Children’s Minister, FBC, Euless, TX

"I have used L.I.T. at three different churches with the same result...kids growing closer to the Lord and realizing the privilege of serving in Kingdom work. As a parent and children's pastor, I can think of no better way to disciple preteens and challenge them on a much higher level."

Heath Bryant, Children's Pastor, Geyer Springs FBC, Little Rock, AR

"Just another sincere thank you for following God's leading with L.I.T. It opened the door in so many ways in my life and began the journey that I am living today.”

"We train our L.I.T.s all year and give them the opportunity to be doers of God’s Word. Many times they are afraid to take the next step (teaching the lesson, leading worship, sharing the Gospel, etc.), but they are encouraged to pray and ask God to help them and He does. It is truly amazing to watch L.I.T.s learning to trust God with their actions. For the first time in their lives, they experience God working through prayer, and they are deeply moved. They pray for forgiveness and for the lost children they are ministering to, and they witness these children giving their lives to Christ. If you want to experience God moving in a powerful way, come be a doer of the Word on the L.I.T. Mission Trip."
